PERSONAL--Born 7/70/77 in Honolulu, Hawaii...he is the son of Matthew and Antoinette White...has four brothers and sisters, Joanna, 28; Paul, 27; Kimberly, 18; and Francine, 13...he is in the College of Liberal Arts and is a liberal studies major...played high school football with Inoke Breckterfield, former OSU All-American...Olin Kreutz is his favorite athlete...his top athletic thrill to date was rushed for 268 yards and scoring 5 touchdowns against San Joaquin Delta College in the league championship game his freshman year...selected OSU because, "OSU has a nice facility, I like the coaches and OSU has a great forestry program, plus playing in the Pac-10."
OSU--(1999-Senior)--With Dennis Erickson coming on board as OSU's head coach...Isaac switched to linebacker during the winter program...the Beavers lost both starting outside linebackers and Isaac had played defense in high school and it was an area for Isaac to get more playing time, plus give the Beavers some depth at outside linebacker...made good progress during spring drills...opened spring drills as the No. 2 weak linebacker and he will report to fall camp as No. 3 at the position...in the final spring game at Hillsboro (5/1), Isaac was credited with 3 tackles and a pass breakup...likely will see action on special teams in 1999, plus perform as a backup outside linebacker...in the weight room, Isaac produced personal bests of 290 pounds in the hang clean, 358 in the bench press, 415 in the back squat and 260 in the incline...has a vertical jump best of 30.00 inches and tested for only 8.38 percent body fat.
(1998-Junior)--Isaac reported to OSU for the first time at the start of fall camp in August and entered the mix at tailback...opened the season as the No. 3 tailback behind Ken Simonton and Jason Dandridge...Isaac was used on goal line situations and short yardage situations during the season...played in 10 games, missing the Baylor contest...carried the ball 10 times during the season for a net 10 yards and caught 2 passes for 28 yards...had 4 carries vs. Nevada for a net 5 yards, plus caught a pass for 6 yards...carried the ball 3 times for Oregon for 5 yards...caught a 22-yard pass vs. Stanford...gained 1 yard on 1 carry at USC...carried the ball twice at Utah State for minus 1 yard.
COLLEGE OF THE REDWOODS, Eureka, CA--(1996-97) --Isaac played for Coach Bob Seaman at the College of the Redwoods...runs the 40 in 4.6...recruited by Washington, Oregon, Arizona State and OSU...he was named the Mid Empire Conference Player of the Year as a freshman and College of the Redwoods produced an 8-2 record and won the conference championship...earned all-league honors as a sophomore when College of the Redwoods went 6-4 and finished third in the Mid Empire Conference...he was also a first-team all-state Region I pick as a freshman...in 10 games as a freshman, Isaac carried the ball 182 times for 1,109 yards and 14 touchdowns...averaged 6.1 yards a carry and had a long gain of 66 yards...caught 13 passes for 102 yards (7.8 average) and returned kickoffs and punts for another 795 yards, giving him 2,006 all-purpose yards and a 200.6 yards per game average...as a sophomore, Isaac carried the ball 173 times for 795 yards (4.6 average) and 12 touchdowns and a long gain of 68 yards...caught 20 passes for 259 yards (13.0 average) and 2 touchdowns...had a long gain of 60 yards...returned punts for 139 yards and kickoffs for 320 yards, giving him 1,441 all-purpose yards, the 13th best mark among junior college players...in his JC career, he rushed for 1,904 yards on 355 carries (5.4 average) and 26 touchdowns...caught 33 passes for 361 yards (10.9 average) and 2 touchdowns...he had a two-year all-purpose yardage mark of 3,447 yards...he scored 86 points as a sophomore to rank 15th among JC players in California...Isaac also threw a touchdown pass as a sophomore...rushed for 268 yards and scored 5 touchdowns against San Joaquin Delta College in the league championship game his freshman year for his best rushing game...he had another game where he scored 6 touchdowns...coach Seaman said, "we only played him about half of the time his sophomore year. He is a kid who loves to play the game and is a very team-oriented guy. He is a powerful inside runner and he has breakaway speed and an elusive gait to him. He is a good pass receiver and blocker. He will run for the short yardage and also bust the big play. He was a pleasure to coach.".
JAMES CAMPBELL HIGH SCHOOL, Ewa Beach, HI--(1993-95)--Isaac attended James Campbell High School, located in Ewa Beach, Hawaii...earned four letters in football, three in track and field and one in soccer...as a senior, he rushed for 1,100 yards in six games and was named player of the year in the OIA and first-team all-state...he was a second-team all-league pick as a defensive back...as junior, he led his conference with 850 yards rushing in six games...recorded bests of 11.0 in the 100 meters and 22.9 in 200 meters in track and field.
