2007: Bryant played in all 13 games making 13 tackles...matched his career-high for tackles with five at Washington State.
2006: Bryant played in all 14 games and started the regular season finale at Hawai'i for the injured Alan Darlin...24 tackles for the season, including a career-high five vs. California...forced a first quarter fumble against Eastern Washington that led to a touchdown (21-0)...one sack for the season, against Colt Brennan (Hawai'i)...intercepted a pass vs. UCLA.
2005: Bryant was one of seven true-freshmen to compete...played in all 11 games...mainly a special teams player who made eight tackles, including three at Washington.
THE DALLES-WAHTONKA: Bryant lettered and started three years, playing linebacker, tight end and running back...in 27 career high school games he made 410 (132 solo) tackles and 12 quarterback sacks...also made two interceptions, caused 11 fumbles, blocked five kicks and recorded one safety...first team All-Intermountain Conference at linebacker as junior and senior and second team as a sophomore...earned all-league honors at receiver...rushed for 3,273 yards and 32 touchdowns during his prep career...was a standout in track in the javelin, discus and shot put...the track team's MVP as a junior.
PERSONAL: Born in The Dalles, Oregon...son of Dave and Nonalee Cornell, both teachers...two brothers, Jared and Anthony...Jared played for OSU in the O'ahu and Fiesta Bowls, and is the operations and clubhouse director of the Benton County (Corvallis) Boys and Girls Club...Dave played football and track at Pacific Lutheran University (1970-74)...chose OSU because "it is known as linebacker U"...majoring in business.
