Jeff Taylor is in his seventh year as co-video coordinator at Oregon State University.
Taylor's responsibilities include taping all football games and practices, editing scouting videos, tape exchange, and preparation of recruiting tapes. He works with Avid computerized non-linear editing system preparing game cut-ups and highlight tapes. He maintains and operates all video equipment in the Valley Football Center and provides basic operation for the Reser Stadium JumboTron screen. He also serves as video coordinator for most of OSU's other intercollegiate sports.
Prior to arriving at OSU he was the sports video manager at Boise State University from 1995-97. He was responsible for the video program for the athletic department, including football, men's and women's basketball, gymnastics and wrestling. While at BSU, he researched the selection and administered installation of a new computerized editing system. From 1986-95 he was responsible for the filming/videotaping of home football games for Portland State University and coordinated the conversion from film to video in 1988.
Taylor began his professional career in 1977 at Willamette University in Salem, Ore. He taped all home football games through the 1995 season. In addition he served as the Director of Photography for the Portland Breakers of the United States Football League, and served as an administrative assistant for the coaching staff. In 1987 he was named assistant to the broadcast producer for the Fred Meyer Golf Challenge in Portland. He programmed and directed closed circuit broadcasts of tournament action and advertising on Diamond Vision outdoor video display boards and at corporate hospitality tents.
Taylor is a 1973 graduate of Willamette University with a bachelor's degree in political science. He is married to the former Maddie Louis-Jacques. Jeff has a son, James.
