OSU—(2001—Senior)--Chris has now started 14 straight games and has played in 30 Beaver career games…all told, Chris has 15 starts in his OSU career…Chris will enter his senior year as the top offensive center in the Pac-10 Conference and the nation…Chris is a coach’s dream…no one competes any harder than Chris Gibson, plus he is the on the field coach of the offensive line, making all of the line calls…in winter conditioning, Chris posted bests of 500 pounds in the squat, 395 in the bench press and 292.1 in the power clean.
OSU-(2000-Junior)--Chris enters his junior season having played in 18 games over two seasons with three starts in 1999, including OSU’s bowl game against Hawaii in the Oahu Bowl...Chris entered spring drills as the No. 1 center and he solidified his hold on the No. 1 spot during the spring and he will anchor OSU’s offensive line in 2000...one of the toughest competitors on the OSU roster...he is undersized when compared to other offensive linemen in the Pac-10, but he has great quickness, toughness and gets great leverage...he posted the eighth best bench press mark on the OSU team during winter conditioning with a lift of 365 pounds...he also posted a back squat mark of 420 and a power clean lift of 275.
OSU-(1999-Sophomore)--Chris solidified his role as the backup center behind Keith DiDomenico and his experience will be very valuable in 1999...once again, Chris will also perform on special teams...pound for pound, Chris is as tough as they come on the offensive line...in the weight room, Chris has produced personal bests of 305 pounds in the hang clean, 375 in the bench press, 450 in the back squat, 285 in the incline and he posted a 26.00 vertical jump.

He can play either offense or defense. He is lean and has room to grow. He has great feet and he can run very well. He is very explosive off the ball. He has the potential to be an outstanding college lineman on either side of the ball."
