Trent Greener is in his sixth year on the staff at Oregon State. He oversees the entire strength and conditioning program for OSU's intercollegiate sports, with his primary responsibility with the football program.
Greener came to OSU from the University of Wyoming, where he was employed from 1992-99. As assistant strength and conditioning coach, he worked with football, men's and women's basketball, and baseball. In 1992 he served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Northern Illinois University, working with men's basketball, football and the school's Olympic sports. He began his professional career in 1990 as a graduate assistant at Purdue University, where he assisted with the football program and served as head strength coach for volleyball and wrestling.
Greener is a 1990 graduate of the University of Wyoming with a bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science. He earned his master's in physical education from Wyoming in 2002. As an undergraduate at Wyoming, he was a two-year letterman on the football team as a defensive lineman, and was the school's lifter of the year in '88. In 1986 he played for former OSU head coach Dennis Erickson.
Greener is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist.
Trent is married to the former Tina Wheeler.
