PERSONAL--Born 4/10/79 in Tarzana, CA...son of John and Karen Sandoval...has three brothers and sisters, Rocky, 23; Kim, 16; and Melissa, 11...his brother Rocky was a quarterback for three years at the University of New Mexico...he is in the College of Business and is a business administration major...entered OSU with a 3.5 GPA...was on the Palmdale High School honor roll for two years...enjoys weightlifting and playing video games...getting a scholarship to play football at Oregon State has been his top athletic thrill to date...selected OSU because, "of the opportunities, the community OSU is in and to be a part of building a program."
OSU-(2001-Senior)-Vincent has played in 22 games in his OSU career to date and enters his senior year having started his last 12 games…Vincent started all 12 games at left tackle during the 2000 season…offensive line coach Gregg Smith decided to move Vincent to right tackle for the start of spring drills and he spent the spring playing the new position…he will be the Beavers’ starting right tackle this fall…Vincent certainly has the ability to earn all-star honors as a senior…he is a very consistent player…he posted impressive numbers in the weight room during the winter program…he had a best of 405 pounds in the bench press, 297.6 in the power clean and 440 in the squat.
OSU--(2000-Junior)--Vincent, a two-year letterman, enters his junior season having played in a total of 10 games in two years as a backup tackle...Vincent earned an opportunity to move up the ladder with the graduation of Jason White at left tackle and he was installed as the No. 1 left tackle at the start of spring drills and he had a solid spring to hold on to his starting role heading into fall camp...he will be OSU’s most inexperienced offensive lineman in the starting unit this fall, thus he will have added pressure on his shoulders...however, if his spring performance is any indication, he is ready for the challenge...he posted weightlifting bests of 410 in the back squat, 385 in the bench press and 269 in the power clean...his mark in the bench press was the fifth best mark on the Beaver squad.
OSU--(1999-Sophomore)--Vincent reported to spring drills as the No. 2 right tackle behind junior college transfer Mitch White...Vincent had a solid spring and will report to fall camp as the No. 2 right tackle...ready to give OSU some solid minutes as a backup offensive tackle...in the weight room, Vincent has produced some very good numbers...his personal bests are 254 pounds in the hang clean, 400 in the bench press, 400 in the back squat and 345 in the incline...his vertical jump best is 23.50 inches.
(1998-Redshirt Freshman)--The redshirt year was good for Vincent, giving him a chance to grow, get stronger and adjust to the pace of college football...reported to spring drills as the No. 2 left tackle...Vincent showed marked improvement from his freshman year during the spring and was able to get a lot of reps in scrimmage situations...he reported to fall camp as the No. 2 right tackle...earned a letter by playing in three games--Nevada, USC and Utah State.
(1997-Freshman)--Vincent spent the 1997 season as a redshirt offensive line and performed on the scout team.
PALMDALE HIGH SCHOOL, Palmdale, CA (1994-96)--Vincent attended Palmdale High School...Vincent was a two-year starter at offensive tackle for Coach Jeff Williams at Palmdale High School...won several honors his senior year...he was an all-league (Golden League) pick; a first-team Los Angeles Times San Fernando Valley all-region pick; a first-team All-Antelope Valley pick; a first-team All-CIF Division 2 Southern Section pick and he was named the Most Valuable Lineman in his league...also a first-team all-league pick as a junior...Palmdale was 6-4 his junior year and 9-3 his senior year...threw the shot put and discus as a junior...Coach Williams said, "I think he has great potential. He is a very hard worker and athletically I don't believe he has come close to tapping his potential. He also works very hard in the classroom and is an excellent student."
