Scott Didrickson, a former University of Washington standout player, is in his second year on the Oregon State starff.
Didrickson left UW with a bachelor’s degree in history, after lettering four years. He embarked on his coaching career immediately after his playing career, beginning at Mercer Island High School in Washington as an assistant coach. He stayed in the state when he moved up to the college level, joining the Gonzaga University program for the 1997-98 campaign.
Ritchie McKay added Didrickson to his staff when he accepted the Colorado State University coaching position. McKay had coached Didrickson at Washington.
“Coach Didrickson has a wealth of knowledge about the game, and he is without question a bright up and coming coach,” McKay said.
As a player at Washington, Didrickson served as a team captain as a senior. He was fourth in the Pac-10 Conference for three-point field goal percentage as a junior in 1994, hitting .412 (49-119). His name appears in the UW record book top-10 list for career three-point field goals (55), and career three-point field goal percentage (.362). Didrickson was also an outstanding student, earning Pac-10 All-Academic mention in 1994.
Didrickson is married to the former Tiffany Schock.
