2002-2003: Brian will be a team leader this season...he needs 122 points to become the 29th player in school history to score 1,000 points...at his current scoring average of 11.1 points per game, he would conclude his career with 1,177 points -- 16th for career scoring at OSU...a postseason honors candidate as a senior...enters the year with 73 career starts, and will likely finish his career with the most starts at OSU since Gary Payton had 120 (1987-90).
2001-2002: Jackson started 23 of 25 games he appeared in, and finished second for the team in scoring at 11.5 points per game...he shot .539 (96-178/tied for 6th in the Pac-10) from the field for the season, over 10 percent higher than his freshman and sophomore seasons combined...he scored 20-plus points on two occasions, including 20 in the first half of a 21-point performance at No. 14 Arizona...tallied a season-high 22 points in the season opener vs. Northern Colorado...he missed four games, three for injuries and one for personal reasons...he led the team for scoring in four games, and rebounding in three...registered a double-double (16 pts, 10 reb) at Washington State...finished the year with a .808 free throw percentage, tied for ninth in the Pac-10...recipient of the program’s Jim Anderson Award, signifying the most improved player.
2000-2001: Jackson finished third for the team in scoring at 9.7 points...he and Adam Masten were the only players to start all 30 games...played the final 13 games with an avulsion fracture in his left foot...shot .436 from the field, including .321 (26-81) from three-point range...led the team in scoring in three games, and was the top rebounder five times...scored a season-high 22 points, also a personal high in Pac-10 action, Feb. 22 vs. USC...also had a 21-point effort at California...averaged 14.7 points at the Big Island Invitational, earning all-tournament honors...had a streak of making 18 consecutive free throws and concluded the year converting 20 of his last 23...shot .745 (70-94) from the line for the season...struggled from the field for most of the year, but did improve to .484 (30-62) over the final eight games...foul trouble was an issue for Jackson, being disqualified 11 times...pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds in the season opener vs. Cal State-Fullerton...averaged 4.2 boards for the season...recipient of the team’s Slats Gill Award for dedication.
1999-2000: Jackson was selected to the Pacific-10 Conference’s All-Freshman team by the league coaches -- the four other members of the team were Jason Kapono of UCLA, Casey Jacobsen of Stanford, and Jason Gardner and Gilbert Arenas of Arizona...second for the team in scoring at 12.5 points and rebounding at 5.1...averaged 26.1 minutes per game, also second for the team...missed the first five games with a bruised knee, suffered the day (Nov. 22) before the season opener diving for a loose ball in practice...made his OSU debut Dec. 4 at Colorado State, scoring 12 points and grabbing five rebounds...scored 32 points vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, the most ever by a Beaver freshman...the 32 points marked the sixth-highest point total in the conference, behind Arizona State’s Eddie House (4 times) and Washington State’s Chris Crosby...scored 20 points in his second career game, Dec. 11 vs. Denver...had 19 points at Arizona State, his Pac-10 Conference high -- scored 18 at Arizona on the same trip...recorded double-doubles vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (32 pts, 10 reb) and vs. Oregon (17 pts, 10 reb) in the conference opener...shot .707 from the free throw line...his 295 points for the season, marks the seventh-highest total by a freshman in OSU history...led the team in scoring six times.
KNAPPA: Jackson led the Loggers to state 2A titles as a junior and senior...four-time All-Northwest League selection...first team all-state three years...2A State Player of the Year as a junior and senior...averaged 28 points, 13 rebounds, and shot 67 percent from the field as a senior...concluded his prep career with 2,515 points, the second-highest total in state history...a four-year starter...averaged 27.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in the 1999 summer Class 2A State-Metro series.
PERSONAL: Born October 4, 1980 in Astoria, Oregon...son of Carl and Sandra Jackson...has two sisters, Joylynn and Janell...hobbies include basketball, fishing, and hunting...the town of Knappa is located on the banks of the Columbia River, near Astoria in the northwest part of the state...majoring in history.

Feb. 22, 2001 vs. USC -- Jackson scored 22 points, a personal-high within conference action, as OSU defeated the NCAA Tournament bound Trojans...he was 4 of 9 from the field, including 3 of 6 from beyond three-point range, and hit 11 of 12 free throws.
Jan. 4, 2000 vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi -- Jackson scored an OSU freshman record 32 points in the victory over the visiting Islanders...he connected on 10 of 15 from the field, including 2 of 3 from three-point range, and made 10 of 12 from the charity stripe...in addition, he grabbed 10 rebounds for his first collegiate double-double.
Jan. 6, 2002 at Arizona -- Jackson hit 7 of 9 from the field, including all three of his three-point field goal attempts as OSU nearly defeated No. 14 Arizona at the McKale Center...scored 20 of his 21 points in the first half.
