Kubec Tabbed Pac-10 All-Academic Second Team

Walnut Creek, Calif. – Sophomore Kelly Kubec (Lake Stevens, Wash.) was the lone Oregon State wrestler to be named to the Pac-10 All-Academic Wrestling Teams, earning second team accolades, announced Wednesday by Pac-10 Commissioner Larry Scott.
This is Kubec’s first conference academic honor. A business major, Kubec is a two-time NCAA Tournament qualifier and finished the 2009-10 season with a 38-10 overall record.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
