Corvallis, Ore. -
Beaver Sports Properties, a division of Learfield Sports, and Oregon State University Athletics are proud to announce this year's Beaver Sports Radio Network lineup. The Network includes stations across the states of Oregon and California.
Joining the "Beaver Nation" family this season are new members KBKR (1490 AM) in Baker City., KAKT (104.7 FM) in Grants Pass, KLAD (960 AM) in Klamath Falls, KLBM (1450 AM) in LaGrande, KAKT (105.1 FM) and KCNX (880 AM) in Medford and KSRV (1380 AM) in Ontario.
"We're very excited about this year's lineup," BSP General Manager Steve Sullivan said. "We have one of the best programming schedules in the country, including eight hours of network coverage on football game days. We also have the luxury of having a team of highly-esteemed professionals anchor our broadcasts."
The broadcast team includes five-time Oregon Broadcaster of the Year Mike Parker, three-time Associated Press Broadcaster of the Year Ron Callan and Oregon State Hall of Fame members Jim Wilson and Steve Preece.
KPAM 860 in Portland anchors the broadcast. Mid-Willamette Valley's KEJO (1240 AM) adds to the coverage with a two-hour "Countdown to Kickoff" pregame show prior to the network coverage with Jon Warren and Doug Blair. Additional Beaver programming can be heard on KPAM with Callan's sports segment on Bob Miller in the Morning and the new "Beaver Buzz" segments daily. The popular Joe Beaver Show is daily from Noon-2 p.m. on KEJO.
Beaver football can also be heard on XM/Sirius satellite radio - XM 193-195. In addition, the Armed Forces Network will carry many Beaver and Pac-10 games.
Beaver Sports Talk resumes for another season Thurs., Aug. 27 and originates from McMenamins BrewPub on Monroe next to the Oregon State campus. The show airs every Thursday through the end of November from 7-8 p.m. with host Mike Parker and can be heard over most of the Beaver Sports Radio Network. The show moves to Tuesdays beginning Dec. 1. Director of Athletics Bob De Carolis will be the guest for the first show, with head football coach Mike Riley on all subsequent shows. The public is encouraged to attend BST, which includes raffle prizes and your chance to ask questions of the guests.
