Alex Williams' Opening Round Leads Team to First.

Led by Alex Williams’ 2-under-par 70 the Beaver men’s golf team has the lead after 18 holes of the 72-hole Pac-10 Conference Championships at the Seattle Golf Club. OSU’s opening 4-over-par 364 is one shot better than host Washington.
Williams carded four birdies and two bogeys in the opening round to move into a tied for second. Teammate Paul Peterson made three birdies in a five-hole stretch and is tied for fifth after a 71.
