Men's Golf Heads South for U.S. Intercollegiate

The Event
The Oregon State men’s golf team travels this weekend to Palo Alto, Calif. for the U.S. Intercollegiate hosted by Stanford University April 18-19 at the Stanford University Golf Course.
The Course
The Stanford University Golf Course stretches 6,727 yards and plays to a par of 70.
The Field
The field consists of five top-25 teams and five top-25 individuals; the teams are Arizona State, Chico State, Northwestern, Oregon State, Pepperdine, Santa Clara, St. Andrews University (Scotland), Stanford, Washington State, California, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UCLA, Oregon, USC, Texas, Washington.
Last Year at the U.S. Intercollegiate
The Beavers finished eighth out of 17 last year finishing with a 35-over par 875 (291-299-285). Junior Diego Velasquez led the way for the Beavers last year finishing tied for 17th at 215 (69-75-71).
Last OSU Event
Oregon State is coming off a second place, out of 20, finish at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic. It finished with a 1-over 841 (286-274-281). Freshman Morten Madsen had his best performance of the year when he too finished second with a 5-under 205 (66-67-72).
The Lineup
The Beavers are sending freshmen Madsen and Jonnie Motomochi, juniors Paul Peterson and Velasquez, and senior Alex Williams.

Tee Times
The Beavers tee off the first round with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. and are paired with Washington State University, UC Irvine, and the University of St. Andrews from Scotland. The second will immediately follow the first round with continuous play.
