Men's Hoops Season Tickets on Sale Wednesday

CORVALLIS, Ore. Season ticket packages for the 2008-09 Oregon State men’s basketball season will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, October 1, the athletic department announced on Monday. The season ticket package features 18 games at legendary Gill Coliseum as Oregon State opens the regular season at home on Friday, Nov. 24, against Yale.
The Beavers offer several ticket packages for fans, including the popular Weekend Plan and single-game tickets. New this season, Oregon State is offering the Legend 5 Pack, where fans can pick two non-conference games and three Pac-10 Conference games for $75.
Season tickets in the chairback section for the 2008-09 season are $364 for the general public and $290 for faculty/staff, members of the Varsity O club and purchasers under the age of 30. A BASF donation is required based on location for chairback seating.
Season tickets in other areas of the arena run $225 as Oregon State is offering a season special for tickets located in the top five rows of Gill Coliseum for $157.
Once again, Oregon State will offer the popular Weekend Plan to fans as the package includes one ticket to 10 home men’s basketball games for $121.
The weekend plan features several key contests and includes games against St. Martin’s, Concordia, Nebraska, Howard, UCLA, USC, Washington, Oregon, Arizona State, and California.
In addition, single-game tickets are on sale now as prices are $25 for chairback seating and $15 for all other areas of Gill Coliseum. Tickets to the two exhibition contests are $12 and $7, respectively, as tickets to the game against Oregon are $27 for all areas of the arena.
Tickets for the 2008-09 men’s basketball season can be purchased online beginning on Wednesday at or by calling 1-800-GO-BEAVS. Tickets may also be purchased by visiting the OSU Athletic Ticket Office located at Gill Coliseum. Ticket office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Oregon State men's basketball team opens practice for the 2008-09 season on Friday, Oct. 17, as the Beavers will open play with an exhibition contest against Saint Martin’s on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 5:30 p.m.
