Corvallis, Ore. Oregon State University senior student-athletes Alexis Serna and have been named Pac-10 Conference medal winners, it was announced Wednesday.
Serna, from Fontana, Calif., is a recent graduate in history. The four-year letterwinner as a placekicker and punter (2007) concluded his career as the Pac-10’s second all-time leading scorer with 384 points and was the 2005 Lou Groza Award recipient as the nation’s top kicker.
Lamb, from Knoxville, Tenn., lettered four years for the nationally ranked gymnastics team. She will graduate in December in business administration with options in international business and marketing. The 2008 Academic All-District selection intends to study abroad in Austria this fall. Lamb earned All-American honors on the vault at April’s NCAA Championships.
Both Serna and Lamb have performed hours of community service as well as being involved in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Conference medals are awarded annually to a male and female student-athlete from each of the 10 league schools. Medals are presented on a combination of performance and achievement in scholarship, athletics and leadership.
