Bressler Named to 2007-08 NWCA All-Academic Team

Manheim, Penn. Junior Kyle Bressler (Federal Way, Wash.) added another academic honor after being named to the 2007-08 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) All-Academic Team, announced Thursday.
Bressler, a Construction Engineering major, was the lone Oregon State wrestler to make the list and one of 88 total NCAA Division I wrestlers to make the individual list.
Wrestlers must have at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA, been an NCAA qualifier or won 60 percent of his total schedule and must have competed in at least 60 percent of said schedule. The other way to qualify for the All-Academic team is have a 3.0 cumulative and been an NCAA All-American.
Bressler was one of three Beaver wrestlers to qualify for the NCAA Championships in St. Louis, Mo., after winning the Pac-10 title at 197 pounds. It was his second consecutive year qualifying for the championships after earning an at-large bid in 2007 at 184 pounds.
