Women's Golf Completes Second Day at Pac-10's
PALOS VERDES, Calif. - Following the second day of action at the Pac-10 Conference Championships, the Oregon State women’s golf team remains in 10th place with a team score of 64-over, 632, as the Beavers had a two-shot improvement from the first round and are 10 shots behind Washington State heading into the final round of action.
Junior Martha Burkard is leading the way for Oregon State in a tie for 26th place with a second round score of five-over 76. The total was a one shot improvement from her first round finish.
Senior Julianna Uhrik is heading into the final round of the championships in a tie for 29th place, posting a second round score of six-over, with a two-round sum of 12-over 154.
Senior Jessi Gebhardt improved her second round score by three shots from 12-over to 9-over 80, finishing the day off in a tie for 43rd with a two-round total of 21-over 163.
Meanwhile, sophomore Lauren Archer in a tie for 44th place with a total score of 22-over 164 (80,84).
Rounding out the scoring for the Beavers is freshman Cara Freeman as she heads into the final round of play in 47th place, improving her second round score by three shots with a second round total of 82.
USC took the lead during the second round of action as the team enters the third round with a score of nine-over 577. Belen Mozo (71, 71 142) of USC and Tiffany Joh (69, 73 142) of UCLA are battling for the individual title as the duo enters the final round tied for first.
