Olivia Vivian one of three from WA selected for Beijing Olympics

Perth gymnast Olivia Vivian says she is overwhelmed with joy at being selected to represent Australia at the Beijing Olympics in August. Vivian was included in the final squad of six gymnasts to travel to Beijing, having competed successfully in the second stage of Olympic trials in Canberra on Sunday, June 29.
She will be joined in Beijing by fellow West Australian gymnasts Daria Joura and Lauren Mitchell and Victorian trio Shona Morgan, Ashleigh Brennan and Georgia Bonora.
Vivian had an anxious wait - hers was the last name read out at last night’s announcement.
The 18-year-old said: “When five of the girls had been announced, I was shaking like anything."
“But then my name was called out and my heart just about stopped."
