The Bennys Celebrates 10th Year Tonight. Public Invited
Beaver Nation is invited to watch tonight's 10th annual "The Bennys" at 7 p.m. in the LaSells Stewart Center on the campus of Oregon State University. The awards ceremony is open to the public and fans are encouraged to attend the free event (Click to RSVP). Parking is available in Reser Stadium south endzone parking lot.
Voice of the Beavers – Mike Parker will once again host the event.
There is a reception from 5-7 p.m. before the awards ceremony, for student-athletes, coaches, staff and friends. Fans are also invited to the pre-show reception for a per person cost. Contact the BASF at beaver.nation@oregonstate.edu for more information and to reserve a spot at the reception.
For the first time fans had a vote in the selection of the awards. Over 2,500 votes were cast on osubeavers.com for choice of male and female newcomers of the year, men’s and women's coach of the year, male and female performances of the year, male and female athletes of the year and male and female teams of the year.
Since 1998 the OSU Department of Athletics has celebrated the amazing accomplishments of Oregon State student-athletes at this end-of-the-year celebration and awards ceremony.
Over 500 outstanding student-athletes compete and excel in 17 sports at Oregon State with their accomplishments and leadership abilities are showcased through the program.
