Annual Awards Show Open to the Public
The popular celebration for Oregon State Athletics is almost here with the 10th annual "The Bennys" taking place Tuesday, June 3 (7 p.m.) at the LaSells Stewart Center on campus at Oregon State University. Since 1998 the OSU Department of Athletics has celebrated the amazing accomplishments of Beaver student-athletes at this end-of-the-year celebration and awards ceremony.
Open To The Public
The awards ceremony is open to the public and fans are encouraged to attend the free awards show beginning at 7 p.m. (first-come first-serve and subject to availability. Click to RSVP). Fans can also attend the reception portion of the ceremony with coaches, student-athletes and friends held from 5-7 p.m. Contact BASF for cost per person for reception. Parking is free and available in the Reser Stadium south endzone lot located across from LaSells Stewart Center.
Beaver Nation Now Has A Vote
Fans can now vote for their choice for winners in this year's The Bennys. Over the past week more than 2,000 votes have been cast for the male performance of the year, female performance of the year and male player of the year. Right now Beaver Nation can vote for online at . The fans' vote will be considered in the overall selection by athletic department for this year's winners.
A Celebration of Champions
Outstanding student-athletes compete and excel in 17 sports at Oregon State with their accomplishments and leadership abilities showcased through the program. Throughout the academic year student-athletes across all 17 sports are selected as an everyday champion for their accomplishments either on the field of play, in the classroom, in the community and in life. Giving Creates Opportunities
Across the board the past 10 years has been a remarkable time for Oregon State Athletics. National Championships are being won, So are bowl games and Civil War Series'. Beaver student-athletes are graduating, becoming leaders in their communities and representing the University well. All this is made possible by the generosity of individual donors who contribute to the Beaver Athletic Student Fund (). Annual BASF donations help fund all 17 sports at Oregon State and directly impact the financial support given to over 500 student-athletes who compete in the toughest conference in the country - the Pac-10.
