Lauren Archer Competes at US Women's Amateur
ERIN HILLS, Wisc. – Oregon State golfer Lauren Archer competed at the 32nd United States Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship this week as the junior finished in 81st place with a score of 164 through two rounds of action.
Archer came just shy of qualifying for the match play portion of the event, finishing just four shots back of a tie for 58th place.
The junior opened play at the event with a first-round score of 79 and followed on day two with a total of 85 as she finished 18-over par. Archer had an exceptional performance on the back nine of day one, carding a one-under 35 as she birdied three straight holes during the round.
