Dwan Edwards is giving back to the community.

The Columbus native and current Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle is directing a free, not-for-profit football camp for 300 Montana high school athletes next month in Billings. The camp, to be called the Dwan Edwards Elite Football Camp, is scheduled for July 11-12 at Wendy's Field at Daylis Stadium.

"For Montana this is something different, a good opportunity for the kids and me to get something started with good coaching and experience. Not just for football but for life," said Edwards, who will begin his fifth season with the Ravens this summer.

Joining Edwards as instructors at the camp will be three Ravens teammates - Troy Smith, the 2006 Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback from Ohio State, Pro Bowl linebacker Bart Scott and fullback Justin Green, a former University Montana player - as well as Chester native and current Detroit Lions tight end Casey FitzSimmons and former Montana State defensive back Joey Thomas.
