Former Oregon State All-American and NBA All-Star A.C. Green is hosting a blog on the Legends of Basketball . In Green’s latest entry he blogs about going into the Boston Garden for game one of the 1985 NBA Finals.
Green appeared in a record 1,192 consecutive games in the NBA, playing for the Lakers, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat. Los Angeles drafted him with the third pick of the ’84 Draft and he went on to earn two NBA titles with the team.
The Portland, Ore., native and Benson High School graduate was a four-year letterman forward for Ralph Miller at OSU. He led the Beavers to three NCAA Tournament appearances and one NIT. Green was named the Pac-10 Player of the Year in 1984 and is a member of the league’s All-Decade team.
He has been inducted into the State of Oregon and OSU Sports Halls of Fame.
