Women's Golf Lands Two on Academic Squad

CORVALLIS, Ore. The Oregon State women’s golf team placed two on the 2008 Pac-10 Conference Women’s Golf All-Academic squad, the conference office announced on Tuesday. Jessi Gebhardt led the way for the Beavers as she earned first-team honors while Lauren Archer was an honorable mention selection.
Gebhardt, a senior with a 3.77 GPA in business administration, picks up her third consecutive academic all-conference honor and made first team honors for the second consecutive season. In addition, the senior is also a two-time National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar.
Archer, a sophomore with a 3.18 GPA in engineering, earns her first selection to the academic all-conference squad as she picked up honorable mention honors.
The selections mark the fourth consecutive year the women’s golf squad has placed at least two on the academic all-conference squad.
To be eligible for selection to the Pac-10 academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.00 overall GPA and be either a starter or significant contributor.
