Portland and Oregon State resume their suspended game from April 15 at PGE Park. The game will be resumed on Wednesday at 4 p.m. PT at Goss Stadium. Admission is free.

Last Game
Ryan Ortiz was 4-for-6 and every Oregon State player had at least one hit and one RBI as the Beavers took the series finale from Washington State, 19-9, on Monday at Bailey-Brayton Field. Joey Wong had three RBI, while Ortiz, Lonnie Lechelt and Jason Ogata all had three. Ortiz also had two doubles to pace the Beavers. Mark Grbavac pitched four scoreless innings of relief to improve to 4-1 this season.
Where We Stand Wednesday
In Wednesday’s game to be resumed, the Beavers hold a 3-0 lead entering the bottom of the fourth. Jason Ogata has two hits and an RBI and Daniel Robertson also has an RBI. James Nygren is the pitcher of record thus far having thrown three scoreless innings.
Back To Monday
In Oregon State’s 19-9 victory Monday, every OSU hitter had at least one hit and one RBI. And to top it off, eight of the nine batters finished with at least one walk or hit by pitch.
Over Last Two
Over his last two games, Ryan Ortiz is 8-for-11 with four RBI and three doubles.
Notes Of Importance
The game Wednesday, because it originated in Portland at PGE Park, will be designated as a neutral game despite being finished in Corvallis.
Per the NCAA, there is no specific rule regarding the above situation, but was the organization’s opinion of what should happen.
Oregon State batters faced 240 pitches from Washington State on Monday, an average of 27 per inning. OSU pitchers, meanwhile, threw 144 pitches, or 16 per inning.
In his last five games, Lonnie Lechelt has seven hits, including one double, one triple and one home run, to go along with five RBI.
OSU relievers worked 13 2/3 innings against Washington State, allowing just 11 hits and three runs. They struck out five while the Cougars batted just .220 against them.
