CLAREMONT: Cook was a three-year letterman for head coach Mike Collins...assisted Claremont to the Baseline League title in 2002 and ’03...named the league’s top linebacker as a junior after making 122 tackles, including four quarterback sacks...first team All-CIF in 2002...SuperPrep Magazine selected Cook to its all-region team as a senior after making 89 tackles, including three sacks, and intercepting two passes...also was a quarterback for the team, completing 26 of 45 passes for 257 yards, and adding another 247 yards on the ground on 45 attempts his final season.
PERSONAL: Born in Cleveland, Ohio...son of Beverly Cook...has one sister, Shawond...Robert Malone, an uncle, played football at Akron...chose OSU because of the “coaches, team, school, and city”...majoring in ethnic studies.
