2008: Expected to start at flanker or play a significant role after playing as a true freshman last season...good hands and was very impressive in August (2007) camp...continues to improve as he gains experience and helps form the most talented group of receivers since Mike Riley has been at OSU. 2007: One of three true freshmen to play joining James Rodgers and Keith Pankey...scored the season’s first passing touchdown when he caught a Sean Canfield 6-yard pass in the win over Utah in game one of the season...caught at least one pass in every game with a career-high six vs. Stanford...70 yards receiving in win at Washington State...386 receiving yards was second on the team Anthony Brown had 550.
ESCONDIDO: Two-year letterman as a wide receiver and defensive back...first team All-Valley League and first team All-CIF as a senior...Valley League Offensive MVP as a senior after accounting for 929 yards on 49 receptions...also played basketball helping the team to the state tournament...in track as a senior he won the Valley League titles in the 400 meters, long jump and anchored the 400 and 1,600 relay teams...San Diego Hall of Champions member.
PERSONAL: Born in Camp Pendleton, California...son of Darrell and Donna Catchings...has one sister...chose OSU because “I feel OSU offers me a chance to earn a great education and an enjoyable experience playing football”...undecided major.
