Beaver Nation to Help with 10th Annual ?The Bennys?
Another amazing season on and off the field is coming to a close for the Beavers with the upcoming “The Bennys” awards ceremony. And because the fans are part of OSU Athletics success, fans will now help close out the year by helping select the winners. The 10th annual The Bennys is scheduled to be held June 3, 2008 at the LaSells Stewart Center.
Starting May 21 and continuing through June 1 fans will be asked to vote for their choice for male and female newcomers of the year, men’s and women's coach of the year, male and female performances of the year, male and female athletes of the year and male and female teams of the year. Voting will occur on the fan polls on each sport page on osubeavers.com.
Since 1998 the OSU Department of Athletics has celebrated the amazing accomplishments of Oregon State student-athletes at this end-of-the-year celebration and awards ceremony.
The awards ceremony is open to the public and fans are encouraged to attend the free event (first-come first-serve and subject to availability. Click to RSVP). Awards ceremony begins at 7 p.m.
Over 500 outstanding student-athletes compete and excel in 17 sports at Oregon State with their accomplishments and leadership abilities are showcased through the program.
