Big Nine
Blake Keitzman’s nine strikeouts Tuesday was easily a season-high for an OSU reliever. The tally was just one shy of tying Mike Stutes’ 10 strikeouts against Arizona on April 25 as the team’s high.
Four Game Trip
After the series with USC, OSU will play at Long Beach State Monday.
Notes Of Importance
Ryan Ortiz extended his hit streak to five games on Tuesday. He has 10 RBI during it.
Oregon State has either won or split its last three Pac-10 season-ending series. OSU took 2-of-3 at UCLA to close out last season.

OSU is looking to end Pac-10 play with its third winning conference season in four years.
OSU’s Friday night probable starter, Mike Stutes, is second in school history with 275 strikeouts. The all-time leader at OSU is Jonah Nickerson, who had 299 from 2004-06.
OSU is 17-7 when scoring first but 8-12 when its opponent scores first this season.
