Johnson Finishes Third at PGA Minority Championship

Port St. Lucie, Fla. Carried by a final round score of 71, Oregon State men’s golfer Vincent Johnson finished in third-place at the 22nd Annual PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship, concluded at the Wanamaker Course on Sunday.
Johnson recorded the lowest score of the tournament field on Sunday as the Oregon State senior finished the tournament with a three-round total of 218, three strokes behind individual champion Armando Favela of Illinois of Chicago, who finished with a three-round score of 215.
Amit Odaiyar of Florida Atlantic finished second with a three round score of 217.
Johnson and Oregon State will return to action on Thursday, May 15, as the Beavers travel to Bremerton, Wash., to compete in the NCAA West Regional. The top ten teams at the regional will advance to the NCAA Men’s Golf Championship in West Lafayette, Ind.
