Lamb, Kesler and Lanz Receive All-American Honors

ATHENS, Ga. Oregon State gymnasts , and received their All-America certificates Saturday morning at the NCAA Championship Awards Brunch.
Lamb, a senior from Knoxville, Tenn., scored 9.875 on the vault in Thursday’s preliminary round of the NCAA Championships to place third in the afternoon session. Lamb will compete for the last time in her career later today in the Individual Finals when she seeks a individual championship. This is the first All-America honor in Lamb’s career.
Lanz, a junior from Eugene, Ore., tallied a score of 9.825 on the balance beam on Thursday to earn second team honors. This is the second year in a row that Lanz has earned All-American honors after receiving second team on the uneven bars in 2007.
Kesler, a freshman from Kenmore, Wash., nailed a beautiful bars routine Thursday to post the only 9.9 of the meet for the Beavers. Kesler’s honor marks the third season in a row that OSU has had a freshman earn All-America status ( 2006, 2007).
