Oregon State Ranked No. 14 in Coaches Poll - Oregon State University Athletics

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State women’s crew broke in to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Poll for the first time this season, registering at No. 14in the April 23^rd issue. The ranking comes four days after the Beavers defeated then No. 8 Washington, who fell to No. 15 in the polls.

All seven women’s crews in the Pac-10 Conference made the top 20, with California leading the pack at No. 1. With upcoming Oregon State opponent Washington State coming in at No. 4, and Stanford ranked No. 9; the Pac-10 has three representatives in the top 10. Pac-10 crews USC (14), Washington (15), and UCLA (20) round out the Pac-10 rankings.

Previous Oregon State opponents in the top 20 include Virginia Triple Dual opponents No. 3 Virginia and No. 6 Michigan State, as well as last week’s opponent in No. 15 Washington.

The Beavers have this weekend off before returning to the water, on the Snake River near Pullman, Wash., to take on No. 4 Washington State in a dual regatta on May 3^rd. This will be the Beavers last race before traveling to the Pac-10 Championships on May 18^th in Rancho Cordova, Calif.
