Men's Basketball Finalizes 2008-09 Schedule

CORVALLIS, Ore. The Oregon State men’s basketball team will be featured on television at least 17 times throughout the Pacific Northwest during the upcoming season, with the Beavers slated to play four times on FSN national network television while scheduled to play 12 contests to be broadcast regionally on FSN Northwest.
In addition, the games against UCLA and USC to close out the season could be broadcast by Fox Sports Net as part of their wildcard package.
Oregon State opens the regular season on Friday, Nov. 14, at 4:00 p.m. against Howard in Washington, D.C. Other non-conference highlights include a contest at Iowa State on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 11:00 a.m. in the Big 12-Pac-10 Hardwood Challenge. The contest against the Cyclones will be televised by ESPNU.
The Beavers also host Big 12 Conference member Nebraska on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 5:00 p.m. in a game to be broadcast by FSN Northwest.
In all, Oregon State will appear on television in the Pacific Northwest more than any time over the past 13 seasons due to the extended partnership with FSN Northwest.
FSN Northwest hits one million households in the state of Oregon and 3.5 million households in the Pacific Northwest. Oregon State games and shows also air on Fox College Sports (FCS) on satellite and cable systems throughout the country. FCS reaches 30 million households.
In addition to the increased game coverage, Beaver fans can follow the 2008-09 season by catching Beavers All-Access on FSN Northwest. Throughout the 2008-09 season, Beavers All-Access covers basketball with head coaches Craig Robinson and LaVonda Wagner.
Tickets for the 2008-09 men’s basketball season can be or by calling 1-800-GO-BEAVS. Tickets may also be purchased by visiting the OSU Athletic Ticket Office located at Gill Coliseum. Ticket office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
