Championship Series Game 1
Oregon State fans began filtering in for the 6 p.m. game in the morning hours to get the best tailgating locations and first pick in the general admission seating. Beaver fans were spotted all over the Rosenblatt Stadium area grilling, playing games, getting painted and just plain celebrating. Admission lines were overflowing hours before game time with excited fans. Once the fans were inside the stadium the excitement and energy wouldn't cease until the final pitch of the ball game.
On the south side of Rosenblatt a group of tailgaters that have been at Rosenblatt through the duration of the College World Series have a group of eight artificial flamingos each representing the eight teams participating in the CWS. As each team is eliminated that team's flamingo has a bag put on it signifying their elimination.
OSU men's basketball head coach Jay John was spotted among the Beaver nation before the game on Saturday.
