Follow Oregon State’s softball seniors as the Beavers begin their quest for a return trip to the Women’s College World Series. One of the five Beaver seniors will contribute a blog chronicling each day of their trip to Ann Arbor, Mich., for the NCAA Regional Tournament.

It’s a GREAT DAY to be a BEAVER!!!!

Day 1 –

Excited and eager to play, we head off to Michigan to kick-off the postseason.

It all starts as my alarm rings at 6 a.m. Getting ready for a long day of traveling, I finish packing, grab something to eat, and head out the door. As I arrive at the bus I am greeted with a brand new sweatshirt – how exciting! We all pack in the bus, choosing to eat, sleep, watch a movie, or a little of each. I was pretty excited about out bus ride because I got some quality sleep.

- Now it’s time for a 4-hour plane ride to Georgia, time for homework, music, and more sleep.

- Our final plane ride of the day was to Detroit – we’re almost there just another couple of hours. I spend some time laughing with Nattie J, eating Kirk’s skittles (yum), and laughing some more.

Finally we have reached our destination... MICHIGAN! It’s around 11:30 p.m. and I’m sure everyone is looking forward to putting their head down on a pillow. Tomorrow we get ready to put our game-face on and go after it.
