Johnson (
“One birdie came late on a long par 3 hole 17 the toughest par 3 on the course.” Johnson said after the second round. “I was actually was playing better than yesterday, but I got to the 14th and bogeyed and doubled on the next hole. I felt like I salvaged today and got some momentum going into tomorrow when I birdied the 17th hole, the toughest hole on the course. There was less wind, but overall it played about the same as yesterday. Overall, off the tee I was a little more conservative today, even more than yesterday.”
“To start out with, I’m going to play my own game,” Johnson said about his game plan for tomorrow’s final round. I’m playing with the second place player, so down the stretch I will play accordingly to how he his playing.”
Johnson and Frazier are paired together for the second round and will tee off at 8:40 Sunday morning.
