In the Varsity 8+, four of the seven boats competing are ranked in the top 20 with three of them ranked in the top six according the USRowing/Collegiate Poll. Claiming the top of the poll is
“If we can assert ourselves in the race and really compete well with these West Coast schools we are going to prove that we can hang with the best East Coast boats when we go out to the IRAs. We need to be at the top of our game this weekend.”
A weighted points system taking the results from the order of finish in the V8+, Junior Varsity 8+, Novice 8+ and Varsity 4+ races determines the conference team champion.
