Peterson Moves Up In Steeplechase

“This was a big race for Jean-Marie tonight,” OSU head coach Kelly Sullivan said. “She had an outstanding night.”
Peterson finished second in the field of 19 in her race.
Krista Stangel took eight seconds off her personal best in the 1,500 meters, finishing third of 35 in 4:39.55. Jenny O’Connor joined in by shaving 45 seconds off her personal best in the 5,000 meters with a time of 18:51.22 and Rebecca Mishler knocked over a minute off her previous personal best in the 5,000 with her time of 18:13.60.
“We are pleased with the Stanford group,” Sullivan said of the Beavers who had competed at the Stanford Invitational last weekend. “It’s not always easy to travel and run well. The women who didn’t run last week all had a really good night as well.”
