Beavers Win Three at Western Oregon - Oregon State University Athletics

MONMOUTH, Ore. – The Oregon State volleyball team continued its winning ways of late beating three opponents in spring matches at Western Oregon University, Saturday. The Beavers played nine games without dropping a single game against Portland State, Seattle University and Western Oregon.

Scores of the matches were 30-28, 30-20 and 15-10 against the Vikings; 30-13, 32-30 and 15-8 against Seattle U.; and 30-24, 30-26 and 15-11 against the Wolves.

“Our serving is much improved and we hung in there when we were down in three of the games to come back and win,” said head coach . “Our back row players are also communicating far better than in the past.”

Liskevych continues to use the spring to experiment with lineups with the most prevalent on Saturday including at setter, and at outside hitter, and at middle blocker, at opposite hitter and at libero. has also spent time at middle blocker while Knitter took turns at the outside positions, and is serving as the primary defensive specialist.

Oregon State finishes spring ball Saturday, May 5 with another all day affair at Portland State’s Stott Center beginning at 10 a.m. The Beavers will scrimmage against Western Oregon, Portland State and Seattle U.
