Spring Football Report (Day 13) -- That's Football!

CORVALLIS -- OSU football camp continued on a beautiful spring day on Monday, and the play of the day, according to All-American , came on a red zone rushing attempt.
It was during 11 vs. 11 drills, and fullback/lead blocker cleared a path for his running back by running over one of the defenders looking to make the tackle. The big hit caused a loud pop for all to hear.
Stroughter wasn't even in on the play, but he let everyone know how he felt about it, running up to Stewart to salute his efforts. Stroughter continued on a pseudo-victory lap, shouting to the assembled crowd, "That's football! If you don't like that, you don't like Oregon State football!"
The Beavers seemed to be focusing on their red zone drills on Monday. To one observer viewing his first spring practice, Stroughter, Anthony Wheat-Brown and Damola Adeniji stood out among the receivers for making some fine plays. During a passing drill, Adeniji made a nice touchdown catch in the left corner of the end zone with a defender draped all over him, and a couple of plays later, he made a one-handed catch in the back of the end zone.
Only one practice (Wednesday) remains prior to Saturday's Spring Game.
Fans are reminded to access on Friday at noon for the unveiling of the 2007 Nike-designed football uniforms.
