Jordan Signs With Portland Timbers

CORVALLIS Former OSU men’s soccer player Bryan Jordan has signed a contract to play with the Portland Timbers of the USL First Division, the club announced last week.
Jordan came off the bench to play the final few minutes in the Timbers’ season-opening 3-1 win over Puerto Rico on Saturday at PGE Park.
“We are proud of Bryan,” OSU Coach Dana Taylor said. “He is a dynamic player who had a very good college career here at Oregon State, and he has the ability to continue to develop and move his game to the next level. We wish him the best as he begins his professional journey.”
A native of Temple City, Calif., Jordan scored 15 goals in his four-year career for the Beavers, which ended last fall. He had five apiece in his junior and senior seasons and played in 68 career games. He was also named a 2006 All-Pac-10 honorable mentions selection and was on Pac-10 All-Academic squads three times.
Jordan joins a growing list of former Beavers who are currently playing in the professional ranks, including Alan Gordon (Los Angeles Galaxy), Robbie Findley (Los Angeles Galaxy), Ryan Johnson (Oster IF, Sweden), Chad Bartlome (BCS Old Boys), Evan McNeely (California Cougars, MISL), Brian Farber (Minnesota Thunder, USL) and Greg Howes (Milwaukee Wave, MISL).
