Back to the field where everybody found out that running back can block. Bernard and linebacker collided and Cornell paid. The hit caused Cornell’s helmet to be ripped off, forcing him to miss some action for a time as equipment coordinator Arnold Alcantar repaired his head gear. Bernard also made linebacker look silly with a great juke – Noack even smiled after taking a good ribbing from his teammates. That Bernard character is pretty good.

Beaver defensive graduate assistant has landed a job with a very good Division I-AA program (new name is Division I) and he will be leaving Beaver Nation at the end of spring practice. Former Beaver standout Inoke Breckterfield will take his place.
