OSU Wrestling Banquet Set For May 6 - Oregon State University Athletics

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State’s 2007 Pacific-10 championship wrestling team will hold its annual postseason banquet May 6 at 2 p.m. in The Club at Reser Stadium. The public is welcome, and those wishing to attend are asked to register by May 1.

OSU’s team captains will present special awards, and the seniors from this season’s team will summarize their wrestling experience at Oregon State and talk about their future plans. Head coach Jim Zalesky and his staff will recap this past season, talk about recruiting and outline their plans for the program.

In addition to winning the Pacific-10 championship – OSU’s 45th team conference title in the sport – the Beavers saw heavyweight Ty Watterson earn All-America honors. Watterson and 174-pounder Jeremy Larson both won Pac-10 individual titles. Oregon State finished the season with a 17-2 dual meet record, including 8-1 in Pac-10 duals.

Cost for the dinner, including dessert and gratuity, is $19 per person. There are also opportunities to sponsor an eight-person table or to sponsor an OSU wrestler.
