Women's Rowing Qualify All Boats to Grand Final

A close second lace finish was the case for the OSU 2V8+, finishing just two seconds behind conference foe USC (6:50.17). OSU (6:52.16) was in third place through nearly three quarters of the entire race, but a hard push in the final 500 meters to sneak past another conference opponent,
The OSU V8+ (6:43.66) finished a very competitive Jessop-Whittier heat race in third place behind No. 8 USC (6:37.36) and less than two seconds behind No. 14 UCLA (6:42.03). In the race the Beavers defeated No. 12 ranked Clemson (6:49.43) by nearly six seconds.
“Each of our three boats had solid races,” said head coach Emily Ford. “There is some room for improvement in some places, but the races today were a good step for us going into tomorrow’s races. I was pleased with the way the team approached their races and the way they handled themselves.”
