Homecoming Reception Planned For World Series Softball Squad On Sunday

A homecoming reception for the Women’s College World Series participant
The 2006 Beavers made their first ever NCAA Women’s College World Series appearance, earned their first Regional and Super Regional Tournament titles, and set a school record with a 28-game winning streak the longest winning streak in the nation this season.
Sophomore utility player Cambria Miranda was named a first team Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-American and junior pitcher Brianne McGowan earned third team accolades as OSU had two players receive All-America recognition in the same season for the first time in program history.
The squad excelled not only on the field but also in the classroom as the Beavers had six players receive All-Pac-10 honors and seven student-athletes earn Pac-10 All-Academic accolades.
