Baseball Celebrations Today - Oregon State University Athletics

The Oregon State University Department of Athletics invites “Beaver Nation” to welcome home the 2006 NCAA Baseball Champions on Tuesday. The team will fly back to Portland International Airport following Monday night's championship victory.

The celebrations are scheduled for noon at Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland, and for 3 p.m. at Parker Plaza, located between Gill Coliseum and Reser Stadium.

Head coach Pat Casey and selected members of the team will speak at the celebrations. Mike Parker, the “Voice of the Beavers,” will serve as the master of ceremonies.

The Department of Athletics would like to thank the Oregon Automobile Dealers Association for the team’s transportation from the airport to downtown.

The Oregon State Alumni Association also welcomes fans to gather for various viewing parties around the country, including locales in Portland, Bend, Washington D.C., Honolulu, Omaha and San Diego. For the complete listing of viewing parties

If you are unable to attend, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Beaver broadcaster Bob Akamian will host the 45-minute live feed of the event that will air on KUIK (1360) in Hillsboro, KKNX (840) in Eugene and KEJO (1240), KICE (940) in Bend, in Corvallis. KEX (1190) in Portland will also air updates throughout the event. The audio of the event will also be available to Beaver Nation Online members through .

Fans are reminded that the team will also be honored with a reception at 3 p.m. at Parker Plaza, located between Gill Coliseum and Reser Stadium. KEJO will also air the Corvallis reception with Jon Warren and Doug Blair on site.
