Lyle Moevao Joins Football Program - Oregon State University Athletics

Lyle Moevao (MOY-vow) of Torrance, Calif., has signed a financial aid agreement and is currently attending Oregon State University, head coach announced Wednesday.

The 6-0 220-pound quarterback from El Camino College enters the program with three years of playing eligibility remaining, plus a redshirt year available.

Moevao completed 167 of 267 pass attempts last season for 2,652 yards and 29 touchdowns. The second team All-Mission Conference selection and Junior College Honorable Mention All-American threw just nine interceptions.

Moevao attended North Torrance High School, starting three years. He was a first team All-Pioneer League selection as a senior.

Oregon State begins preparation for the 2005 season Fri., Aug. 4. The Beavers open the season Thurs., Aug. 31 hosting the Eastern Washington Eagles at Reser Stadium.
