Beaver Nation Turns Out in Force - Oregon State University Athletics

Beaver Nation was out in force to the point of setting a near record crowd at Pioneer Courthouse Square in Portland on Tuesday to celebrate the baseball team's national championhip. Courthouse Square officials indicated that it was the second-largest gathering in the history of the facility at approximately 8,500.

However, the Courthouse crowd was outdone by the reception at Parker Plaza outside of Reser Stadium two hours later.

The team arrived at both locales in stretch limousines. Mike Parker, “The Voice of the Beavers,” served as a master of ceremonies for both events. , , , , , , , and others addressed the throngs at both locations.

Portland Fire and Rescue provided a hook-and-ladder truck as did the Corvallis Fire Department. The crowd was so large in Corvallis that public safety officials closed 26^th street.
