Honebein Leaves OSU Men's Rowing Program

Honebein has been named head coach of the men’s heavyweight crew at the
“Coach Honebein has done an outstanding job at
“I really enjoyed my time, albeit a short time, at
Honebein guided the Beavers for two seasons placing third at the Pac-10 Championships both years. OSU continued on to the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) national championships both seasons finishing 9th in 2005 and 12th in 2006.
In 2006, Honebein’s first class of recruits at OSU arrived providing a boost to the program with the 1st freshman eight finishing third at the Pac-10 Regatta and the freshman four finishing fourth at the IRA Regatta.
Prior to his arrival at Oregon State, Honebein served as the men’s assistant coach and was responsible for coordinating recruiting at the University of Washington for several years and was named the 2002 Northwest Coach of the Year after his novice eight won the Pac-10 and IRA Regattas.
