Oregon State junior earned second team All-America honors Wednesday, as announced by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA). The awards, presented by Pocock, a builder of racing shells, recognize the outstanding accomplishments of female rowers and coxswains for the spring season.
Leibinger (Neu-Ulm, Germany) becomes just the fourth different Oregon State rower and fifth overall All-America selection in OSU women’s rowing history. She is the first Beaver rower to earn All-American status since 2004 when Julia White-Hoppe earned second team honors.
Leibinger, a junior, is one of only two Beavers to ever row in the varsity eight as a freshman. Leibinger rowed the stroke seat for the V8 which ranked as high as 16th in 2006.
