Conor Holt Bio

"Conor brings a lot of international and national experience," OSU head coach Kelly Sullivan said. "He's actually done a lot of coaching, and he's just got a vast amount of experience and knowledge about Division I running both in cross country and outdoor track."
During his prep years in Ireland, Conor was the 3,000 meter Junior National Champion and two time 5,000 meter Junior National Champion. He was a member of the Junior World Cross Country Team and went to the Junior World Track and Field Championship in 1990.
At the University of Oklahoma, Conor was a three-time All-American in cross country and also a three-time All-American in track (5,000 meters indoor and 10,000 meters outdoor) and holds the school record in the 5,000 meters (indoor) and 10,000 meters (outdoor). He was the Big-8 Conference Champion in 1996 in the 10,000 meters. He also was an Academic All-American in 1992 and a Big-8 Academic All-Conference honoree all four years in cross country and track.
Post-college, after becoming a United States citizen in 2002, he became the 2003 Oklahoma Runner of the Year, a 2004 Olympic Marathon Trials Qualifier and Competitor and has been ranked the No. 1 distance runner in Oklahoma the past three years. He also is a professional sponsored athlete who is well known in the running circles in the United States and abroad.
